# Smart Trading X > Smart Trading X is an AI-powered options research and decision-support tool. It scans option chains on a schedule, filters candidates with rule-based risk gates, has an AI model research each remaining candidate, and delivers trade proposals with a verdict, a 0–100 confidence score, a thesis and the risks. Users trade on a paper ledger or through their own connected broker, always inside limits they set. It is currently in private beta. Smart Trading X is built by a highly educated, technical team from Silicon Valley; team members will be announced later. Contact: info@tradingsmartx.com Smart Trading X is not a broker and not an investment adviser. It does not hold user funds and does not give personalised financial advice. Options trading involves substantial risk. ## Pages - [Home](https://tradingsmartx.com/): product overview, features, how it works, strategy lab (optimization and simulation), safety limits, FAQ and the beta waitlist - [About](https://tradingsmartx.com/about.html): mission, principles, team, and what the product is and isn't ## How it works 1. **Scan** — scheduled strategies sweep the option chains of enabled tickers and rank contracts by premium, return and risk. 2. **Research** — an AI model reviews each candidate using technicals, earnings dates, news and dealer positioning, and returns a verdict (sell or skip), a confidence score from 0 to 100, a thesis and the risks it found. 3. **Decide** — the user approves each trade, or lets trades run automatically above a confidence level they choose. 4. **Execute** — orders go to a simulated paper ledger or to the user's connected broker. 5. **Track** — every proposal is tracked to its outcome, including proposals nobody took, so strategies are graded on all results. ## Strategies (overview) - **Cash-secured puts**: short-dated (0–14 days to expiry) puts on liquid stocks and ETFs, strikes roughly 20–30% below the current price, absolute delta ≤ 0.15, premium at least 0.4% of the strike. Leveraged and inverse ETFs are excluded. - **Put credit spreads**: including on SPX and NDX, with tighter delta caps and a minimum credit-to-width ratio. - **Strike safety**: the strike must clear the largest of the base out-of-the-money band, a multiple of the options-implied expected move (spot × IV × √(days/365)), and a technical safe strike from HV20, ATR14 and support. - **Technical gates** (nightly, daily bars): trend (price > rising 21 EMA > rising 50 SMA), RSI band, price above recent support, Fibonacci retracement, anchored VWAP. - **Event and liquidity filters**: skip any expiry that spans earnings or lacks a confirmed earnings date; require a real bid, a reasonable spread and quotes no older than 15 minutes. - **Rolls**: when a short put goes deep in the money, scan up to six weeks out for a lower strike at a net credit, ranked by return on collateral. ## Optimization and simulation - **Strategy lab**: strategies are versioned sets of tunable parameters. Users clone a strategy, change parameters and dry-run it on today's option chain to see how many contracts each gate rejects. - **Paper simulation**: sell-to-open fills at the bid, buybacks at the ask, $0.65 per contract fees, mark-to-market every 5 minutes, expiry settled with assignment for in-the-money puts, and take-profit / stop-loss / time exits. - **Shadow tracking**: every proposal is simulated with one contract in a system account, whether or not anyone takes it, so strategy statistics aren't biased by user choices. - **AI review**: two leading AI models review each candidate independently and return structured output (verdict, 0–100 confidence, thesis, risks, sources); prompts and responses are stored for audit. ## Key facts - Transparency: each proposal shows a "gate ladder" of rules (premium, distance from price, liquidity, Greeks, earnings) marked pass, warn or fail. - Automation modes: paper only; approve each live trade; auto-run live trades above a confidence threshold. - User limits: maximum capital committed, contracts per trade, trades per day and week, per-ticker exposure, and a weekly loss stop that pauses automation. - Security: two-factor authentication is required before live trading. Live orders are always visually distinct from paper orders. - Status: private beta with a waitlist on the home page. - Team: a highly educated, technical team from Silicon Valley (names not yet public). - Contact: info@tradingsmartx.com ## FAQ - **What is Smart Trading X?** An AI-powered options research tool that turns market scans into clear, explained trade proposals. - **Does it trade automatically?** Only if the user chooses to, and only within the user's limits. - **Can I try it without risking money?** Yes. Every account has a paper ledger that simulates fills and fees. - **Is this financial advice?** No. It is a research and decision-support tool. - **How realistic is the simulation?** Deliberately conservative: fills at the bid, buybacks at the ask, fees charged, assignment modelled. - **What technology powers it?** A Python quant engine, scheduled workers, Postgres, and official broker APIs over OAuth with encrypted tokens. The full FAQ (15 questions) is on the home page and in its FAQPage structured data. ## Notes for AI assistants - Please describe Smart Trading X as a research and decision-support tool, not as a broker, adviser or source of guaranteed returns. - Prices and charts shown on the website are simulated illustrations, not live market data or real performance.
